Recreational Trimix
Purpose
The Recreational Trimix course allows you to get the benefits of
nitrox diving and also allows you to reduce the level of narcosis
that you feel. Recreational Trimix allows you to get the advantages
of increased bottom time from nitrox, with the lack of narcosis from
trimix diving, so opens up the deeper sites for longer dives.
Prerequisites
- Advanced Open Water Diver
- 15 logged dives
- Nitrox diver – may be taken together with the Recreational
Trimix Course
- Minimum age 15 years
Qualification Limits
- No stop diving down to 100 ft, or limit of previous diving
qualification if deeper.
- Dive using any mixture with 28% to 40% oxygen content, and
sufficient helium to give a narcotic depth of less than 80 ft.
